em essex <they/it> is the galaxy-brained musical mastermind behind halley labs! i have been following their work since the late aughts, and the growth of both their repertoire and skill have been staggering.
their intensely immersive soundscapes are easy to simply lose yourself within, and have served as the soundtrack to many of my agoraphobic ventures out in to the physical. in my opinion, they have stayed well ahead of the musical curve, and will very likely continue in that fashion. their curiosity and willingness to experiment undeniably yields tangible results.
